Recent News On Oprah

Ever since “Color Purple”, Oprah has felt the need to dabble in the film industry. Her latest interest is a film called “Push” that won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award. The cast is mostly African American and the plot tells of an obese, uneducated teen who is pregnant for the second time. It follows the story of her acceptance into an alternative school. Oprah is teaming up with Tyler Perry and is bringing together Harpo Productions and 34th Street Films to dispense and sponsor the film.

Oprah’s chuckled response about being offered the senator position let everyone know how seriously she took Governor Blagojevich’s recent TV interview. Even though she was not watching television when he put out this proposal, she mused that she would have fallen off of her treadmill, which she does while watching TV, if she had been there to hear it personally.

Although Oprah found the idea humorous, she did let the radio audience know that although she could have done the job, she did not want it. Besides, what time would she have had to complete this task with all the other undertakings she has under her belt?

No matter how much money Oprah may have or make, she always proves to be human. Upset with herself over the 40-pound weight gain, she has promised to make more time for play and cut back on the 14-hour days. She will be getting back to exercising and taking better care of her 54 year old body.
