Oprah Winfrey is a very well known woman in America and she has a very large fan club in Miami. Of course, with the fan club being so large people have different views about some of Oprah's situations. The situation of Sarah Palin is one such situation. Oprah decided not to invite Sarah Palin on her show. This decision has resulted in a boycott of Oprah's show, books and magazine. Some feel she is showing favoritism and others feel she has the right to invite whomever she wishes on her show. Some other fans feel that, while it is her show, all people and views should be given the same time on the show.
Oprah's Miami fans feel that she is one of the most devoted and inspirational people they have ever met. Her fans in Miami fully trust Oprah and use her influence to better their own lives. Women fans in particular feel that Oprah has respect for them and they truly enjoy listening to what she has to say. Of course, Oprah has a huge fan base but her Miami fans are absolutely devoted to her.
When the Rev. Ed Bacon appeared on the Oprah show and announced that he thought that being gay was a gift from God, her fans had mixed feelings. Some fans were appalled that a man of God could say such a thing, while others felt the statement made gays feel good. Whether Oprah's fans agree or disagree, they are still true to Oprah.
