Oprah's Charities and Fans

Mississippi Animal Rescue League is one of the many charities that receive monetary support from Oprah Winfrey. For 40 years, this organization has provided low cost spaying and neutering for the pets of people who don’t have the money to pay regular veterinary fees. They also offer animal education classes and offer their advisory services to law enforcement in the area.

Oprah’s fans are so dedicated and loyal that whenever she reaches out and asks her fans to help in her charity work, they always come through. Her Angel Network, along with Free the Children, has developed a program where fans can donate into the O Ambassador program and make a difference in the lives of needy children in third world countries. In general, the Angel Network promotes various charities and then teaches and challenges Oprah fans to get involved in the “giving.” Oprah’s charities and fans are becoming one big happy family. Fans rely on her judgment and are more than happy to join in the worthy causes.

It is a given that anyone who chooses to stand in line and wait to get into the Oprah television show definitely qualifies as an Oprah fan. On one of Oprah’s television programs, she gave 300 guests (fans) one thousand dollars each to give to a charity of their own choice. If the intention is to ignite a spark of generosity and stewardship in her fans all over the country, no one can deny that it is working.
