After reading the article “Are Promissory Notes a Good Idea”? I think that they are a good idea. It is a written promise between two individuals to repay a loan or a debt through terms that are agreed between the two parties, a specified time to pay back the loan/debt, and the amount of each payment when paying off the loan or debt. Both individuals have to come to a mutual agreement in order to draw this promissory note.
I enjoyed reading this article. I learned so many more things that I did not know about promissory notes. It explains in detail what you should or should not do. It was very informative, and I feel that it is a good thing to know about just in case one day I may be involved with writing up a promissory note.
