Oprah Fans

With the incredible influence Oprah Winfrey has on fans all over the world, it's no wonder the queen of media and mogul billionaire was listed as number one by Forbes.com's, "Top Ten of the World's Most Powerful Celebrities." Oprah's huge success has grown with the enthusiasm of the fans that she has garnered over her twenty plus years in the public eye.

The Oprah fan site is a place where fans can go and find all sorts of information on Oprah, her show guests, Oprah's Book Club information, and much more. The, "guest book," on the fan website is a place where fans can post questions, thoughts, and ask advice from other Oprah fans. These fans post from all around the world, not only in the United States. Fans from Africa, Malaysia, Poland, Canada, Philippines, and others have posted discussions about show tapings, topics on certain health issues, and even acknowledgments of the help that the website, and the Oprah show itself, has provided to people in their lives.

Oprah's global commitment to humanity and her crusade to end hunger, poverty, and improve civil rights, among others, led to a campaign for Oprah to receive a Nobel Peace Prize in 2006. After meeting Rocky Twyman at a fundraiser, he created the, "Oprah for Nobel Peace Prize," movement, in which he hoped to attain 100,000 signatures to show the Nobel committee of Oprah's revolutionary influence. Although she did not receive the honor, this support displays Oprah's true impact on the world and humanity.

Oprah has now been recently using her notoriety to endorse presidential Democratic candidate, Barack Obama. Her influence has affected and inspired many in support of him. We will see if Oprah fans become Barack fans and change the face of history.
