Oprah Winfrey

Devoted fans of Oprah Winfrey, the famous talk show host, admire her goodwill and believe she is a strong woman who is changing the world. Her philanthropy and charity assistance have her fans prompting to take action in nominating her for The Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Peace Prize is an award that acknowledges a person or group for their peace making, humanitarian work, mediation of international conflicts, arms control and human rights efforts. This has been awarded every year since 1901 and no entertainer has ever won this award, but Oprah's fans want to change that. They believe that her goodwill has come from God and that she deserves this award because of her charities to international aid work. Some of those charities include the U.S. Dream Academy that provides support to children with incarcerated parents, Oprah's Angel Network that helps  children of poverty and her generous contributions to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Her generosity, charity, help with the homeless, hunger, Aids, poverty and children's welfare has helped many people throughout the world.

There is one devoted fan in particular, Rocky Twyman that feels Oprah is beloved by so many people that the committee should consider her nomination. He is the founder for the Oprah Winfrey for Nobel Peace Prize Movement that includes many celebrities, everyday citizens, business men and politicians who have been influenced in one way or another by Oprah's kind, considerate acts of compassion that has brought peace to the world. Rocky is hoping to get 100,000 signatures in order to get the Norwegian Nobel Committee to consider her as a nominee.
